"The cover works because it sells DRILL26 quickly and clearly, with a strong headline that speaks directly to drilling businesses. The Adelaide Convention Centre image gives the event scale and credibility, while the DRILL26 branding ties the whole design together. The blue, red, white and yellow palette is bold, clean and energetic without feeling cluttered. Lehmo and Damien Fleming add personality and help signal that the event is both serious business and a worthwhile industry gathering. The bottom registration strip is clear and hard to miss, giving the cover a strong call to action."

"Overall, this is a strong and contemporary cover that feels genuinely industry-focused rather than overly corporate or catalogue-like. The design successfully balances operational credibility with a human element, which aligns well with the editorial direction of the issue. The “Eagle at Twenty” headline is confident and memorable, while the supporting line “GRIT. DISCIPLINE. ENDURANCE.” captures the tone of the drilling sector perfectly.
The decision to feature both current and archival imagery works particularly well. It reinforces the longevity, resilience and family-business narrative behind Eagle Drilling NQ, while also giving the cover more emotional depth. Sally Forgan positioned prominently on the cover adds personality and freshness, helping the magazine feel more people-driven and relevant to the broader industry culture.
Overall though, this is one of the stronger Australasian Drilling covers stylistically and editorially.

"The ad is very strong. The headline does a great job of pulling the reader in, and the “Margins Tighten” line lands well for a drilling audience. The full-bleed rig image gives it real presence across the spread, and the data overlays add credibility without overcomplicating it. The right-hand page is clean and structured, with a clear value proposition and a logical flow into the call to action. Overall, it feels well balanced and commercially sharp."
