breaks before it begins. You want to help, but every attempt leads to shutdown, defensiveness, or conflict.
The Ableing Shift offers a new way forward.
Drawing from the principles of Motivational Interviewing, Bob Krulish teaches parents how to build emotional
safety, listen in ways that create trust, reduce resistance, and gently evoke motivation in their adult child.
Through warmth, curiosity, and a compassionate shift in posture, you’ll learn how to:
• communicate without pressure
• replace conflict with connection
• reduce emotional reactivity
• strengthen responsibility and capability
• support real, sustainable growth
• restore hope inside the parent–adult-child relationship")

It’s raw. It’s blunt. It’s emotional. It tells the truth about grooming, abuse, manipulation, and the silence that protects predators. There’s no sugarcoating here. No soft edges. Just honesty.
Inside these pages are trigger warnings, traumatic moments, strong language, and the kind of reality many people would rather ignore. It will make you uncomfortable. It may make you angry. It should.")
