The goal was to design a rugged, durable hat patch for a Texas-based blue-collar business. The asset needed to feel authentic, professional, and engineered specifically to translate beautifully into high-density embroidery for employee uniforms and promotional merchandise.
Design Process
Embroidery-Ready Framing: Built the layout within a classic, heavy-bordered rounded rectangle, specifically optimized for clean merrowed borders and stitching constraints.
Localized Iconography: Anchored the center with a clean silhouette of the Texas map, flanked by regional service markers (AUS & DFW) to emphasize local pride and presence.
The Result
This design won the contest because of its production-ready versatility. The final hand-off includes four distinct colorways—Olive/Camo, Heritage Brown, Classic Navy, and Stealth Black—allowing the business to seamlessly apply the patch across different cap styles and seasonal workwear.")
