The balance scale concept is the single most instantly understandable representation of the book's two-edged premise across the entire contest — a complete stranger can grasp the idea in under a second, with no explanation needed, which is exactly what a cover needs to do. The execution elevated the concept even further: the warm gold and cool silver pans echo the duality theme in subtle, intelligent detail, the dark charcoal background gives the book real shelf presence and authority, and the gold accent color on "ONLY" ties the title treatment directly back to the scale itself.
