I am an Art Director and Photographer. I have worked as an an editor and designer for a children’s magazine and was responsible for all the cover designs in a big german publishing house. I gained extensive experience in designing book covers from fiction to nonfiction especially for YA. Today I create designs for the most German publishing houses. I didn’t want a cliched book cover for my subject matter (work-related burnout) - nothing corporate or stiff and Frauke gave me a design that surpassed anything that I could imagine. Changes were made very quickly (sometimes instantly!) and suggestions were accepted gracefully. I felt like I was a co-creator in the process, which was important as I wanted to be represented accurately and in-line with the voice and tone of my book.
