Each card has a riddle on the back, a prophecy of sorts, which could help the reader understand the meaning of the card, applied to the reason why they decided to explore The Darkness.")

The trees and the text have a rough silhouette and outlines which reminds us of woodcut print, a handcrafted feeling and the pastel non-realistic colours of childhood.")

The client asked specifically for something that would stand out from what's usual among the fitness and wellness industry, as his goal is to train people and help them become strong, without wanting to achieve any standards just for the mirrors.
The boar represents strength and audacity, as it sometimes appear in norse sagas, and the letters have slightly upturned lines as an echo of runes. It was clear from the brief, that the client found inspiration also in the idea of ancient and raw strength, with a connection to the norse world without resulting as a tacky version of the viking stereotype.
Raw power, strength, and the audacity to be different and thrive outside the standards.")

Hello there!
My name is Camilla and I'm a young illustrator based in Italy.
In 2025 I completed my studies in Illustration and Animation at IED Milano, specialising in illustration.
My thesis is a soon-to-be-published illustrated book, a collection of folktales from the regions around the mountains of Como Lake.
I love working with mixed media and experimenting with styles and technique, bringing a handmade-feeling into my digital work.
