The brand needed to appeal to specialty coffee enthusiasts while also feeling warm and welcoming to families with young children.
This is why the logo was inspired not only by latte art, but also by a subtle allusion to the bond between a mother and child. It is designed to feel familiar and human, conveying a personal, everyday coffee experience. While the outer shape is a perfect circle, the interior shapes are intentionally organic and imperfect, making the mark feel more approachable and relatable. The negative space also plays an important role, subtly evoking the movement of a rolling wave. The distinctive swashes of the Elsie typeface and a sage-terracotta color palette complement it, creating a warm, cohesive brand that fosters an emotional connection with its coffee community.")
