Taiko is Japanese drumming and so there is a strong need to convey a Japanese feel in the ... This Asian connection is probably the strongest item in the design ... My initial thoughts are that if the logo is black and white with a little bit of red accenting, then this will feel Asian as a lot of traditional Chinese and Japanese paintings are done in black ... The painter signs the painting with a bright red ... Many Taiko logos already use this formula that incorporate a watercolour or brush painting ... A different approach would be very welcome but I’m not creative enough to think of anything at this time! I also like the colour gold and the logo should look classy or high ... If you think any other colours may work or look good then please ... I am not an expert in design which is why I’m ... I am more than happy to hear and see you suggestions!! Although Taiko is great fun and I will be working with children, it is also an activity steeped in the values of Japan and so it has a serious side to it ... It is an artform that requires discipline to master, and in many ways it has parallels with the martial ... I am looking for a logo that is NOT “youthful”or “cartoony”. I would like the logo to appeal across all demographics and although Taiko may seem very masculine, there are just as many female Taiko players as ... The logo should therefore not be too macho or ... The mitsudomoe symbol is an image that has strong ties to Taiko drumming, and if this and/or Taiko players could be incorporated into the logo so that people can instantly see what the company is about then that would be great but this is NOT a major design ... Something novel/new/different for a Taiko logo would be much better but options are clearly very limited! (I like the idea of an image of a dynamic Taiko player and drum in the logo!)
