The client came to me with a clear description of this startup —Comkit, and provided a rough logo concept in a sketch, a triangle video play icon inside a circle; he believed a VIDEO PLAY icon should be part of the logo.
Comkit stands for communication kit. The kit is a physical box of big posters, workshop material, voting cards, etc.

I played around and incorporated a hexagonal shape (box) into the symbol; more can be seen in the mockup.

I enjoyed the process and am very happy with the results.
