Since 'devops' is characterized by a multidisciplinary skill set where communication is one of the biggest keys (as devops are bridge-builders), I thought that using an icon that depicts the words - connections / networks / or links would work best. I have used this icon right in the center of the logo ( circles connected to each other ) which I have made to also look like the eyes, nose and mouth of the monkey.
