Trueform brings to the table a cadre of experts in sound, art and career development, aiming to make musicians into sustainable entrepreneurs. With the founder I had a long and involved discussion on the nature of inspiration. We wanted the mark to speak to the concept of "flow state": a state of consciousness where something higher is engaged; where inspiration flows through the artist, rather than being generated by them. A state where the artist taps into something preexisting, and larger. They connect with their true form. We settled on this mark, that aims to represent energy and transformation.

Logo for an art project

DisOrgan is a distance-censored, midi-based organ which helps us hear disability differently. It will be unveiled at the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum of Contemporary Art on June 3rd as well as have an online component. DisOrgan consists of several theremin-like pipes that anyone can play by hovering their hands up and down over the pipes. Each pipe will be decorated with a collage of original work from various artists with disabilities. The goal of the project is to "bring forward the human and material contributions that disability offers to the self and the world."

A Logo That Links Creativity with Movement

The logo is a brain, it was evolved from an ordinary human brain into this stylized brain version to stands out from the crowds of "brain dots" and "brain polygons" that are heavily overused in brain logos. The "wings" symbolizes physical activity without having to literally depicts a running man, fitness, etc. Therefor, the logo symbolizes positive effect of physical activity on cognitive performance. Delivered with a suitable font for the company's name. Overall appearance of the logo is clean and professional. The winning design in the contest is a horizontal format of this design.

Pulse Dance Studio: Entry

I began by looking up pictures of dancers, and dance poses for a reference for the pose. I then used the name of the studio and symbolized it by the 'pulse' emanating from the dancer's heart. I also hand wrote the script so that it would better complement the dancer's silhouette, as well as add to the composition of the piece. My overall goal for this piece was to create a unique and individual logo with visible emotion and meaning.
