Elegant Monoline-Design combining Nails + Mobile!

Kochka Mobil is a fashion accessory company offering stylish mobile cases and same concept nail stickers. For example there is a leopard pattern on mobile case and also leopard pattern on nail stickers. In this way, women synchronize the appearance of their nails with the appearance of their mobile phones. The CEO told me that she would appreciate it if the logo represented the mobile cases + nails concept. At the same time the logo should be simple and elegant. The logo meets this requirement in a fascinating way. It shows the combination of a mobile case and a fingernail, whereby the small circle as connecting element represents the nail sticker and the mobile phone camera lens at the same time. Can you imagine a logo that combines these elements in a more simple and beautiful way?

Nails and more is a home spa service providers that provides pedicure, manicure, massages, hair and makeup by trained professionals. For this project we decided to make a minimalist and elegant proposal, values established in the briefing. Through script typography we achieve a fluid, organic and feminine graphic identity. In addition, the leaf symbol refers to the brand as a transparent and natural entity with its customers. We highlight the circular shape of the tagline that gives personality to the logo, highlights femininity and makes the brand stand out from its competitors.

I entered this contest after several designs had already been submitted and noticed that nobody picked up on the obvious. The company name is "45° Nails", which the contest holder explained because that is the proper angle to hold the brush. Ok, so we need to show that! We need to put it on a 45 degree angle. After several communications back and forth with her, and several revisions of the basic layout, we came up with this as the final one. Another good example of working together to produce a product that is just right.

The idea was to incorporate the nails into the font in a sophisticated, delicate fashion. From wordmark, we can extract a feminine, subtle icon for social networks. The icon forms a subliminal star in its center.

I enjoyed working on the logo. It's elegant, feminine, and very noticeable. The circle takes the shape of a nail, to which I added the 'e' from the name as well as a star to symbolize that she shine in this field.
