Mint Wave Studios is a cartoon animation publishing company with sound and music production components at its core. With an apostrophe on the "Mint Waves" words, the idea was to incorporate the sound waves in a fun and playful way. The shape of the initials "MW" was perfect for this idea to land on, so I ended up with this simple and effective monogram.
