Catalyst is premium outdoor and hunting apparel brand. They make the best products on the market for the Whitetail Hunter and outdoor enthusiasts. Catalyst approached me for their logo design. When we did the search within this industry and geographical radar we felt their industry and competitors were a bit different in looks and there were very few common denominators when it came down to branding for each. When we approached the logo we wanted to keep simplicity, meaning and feeling on top. To achieve feeling it was vital to have a focal design element. Next we wanted to give a subtle reference to the acronym too. I presented 5-6 logo examples and Catalyst really loved 2 of them. After a couple of revisions finally decided on a clean corporate style design that was easy to use, reproduce and remembered.
