Vintage 'The Perfect Axe' Poster Design

Vintage 'The Perfect Axe' Poster Design

The goal was to make a vintage 'Poster' look, and because I really like history and historical objects/tools, it was really a pleasure to read all the informations how the tool was used during collected the informations before start to draw. Based on these a picture came to my mind with a log house in a forest, where the american pioneers lived and cut out trees to build their own houses. The reason I used brown shades is, the design can reflects the feeling of the old sepia photos from that time, and gives back the warmth of the wood. The head of the axe came out from the design, because I used here a lighter and colder grey tone, reflecting that the steel is stronger than the wood. The rising sun is a symbol here of the returning iconic handtool which is The Perfect Axe.

Vision wall with the word cloud for an office

Vision wall with the word cloud for an office

A vision wall graphics with the word cloud intended for an office in construction space. Featuring 4 categories of words, how each group described the company. Some of the words are overlapping, hence the flowing, curvy shapes highlighting those that are repeated throughout different groups, as well as the core ones that everybody expressed in the center of the design.

Trench Mattock Poster Design

Trench Mattock Poster Design

The Trench Mattock This is a part of a poster series I designed for Warwood Tools. The Trench Mattock is a famous hand tool, which was used the US millitary during the WWI, and WWII. Front-line soldiers often dug “foxholes”, or trenches by hand. Trench warfare commonly consisted of crawling hundreds of meters, only to climb into miles and miles of trenches, barely wider than a hallway. The goal was to make a vintage 'Poster' look, and because I really like history and historical objects/tools, it was really a pleasure to read all the informations how the tool was used during I collected the informations before start to draw. Also was a great and proud feeling to working with this nearly 170 years old hand tool company called 'Warwood Tool'.
